Viking Joins the Rawanq Fleet

Rawanq has added a new vessel to the team, Viking, previously known as Hákon. The ship was purchased from Icelandic fishing company Gjögur and handed over earlier this year in June. After a 27-hour trip from Kópavogur to Akureyri, the vessel went straight into dry dock for a full upgrade at Slippurinn DNG.
Viking was originally built in 2001 and is 76.2 meters long, with a gross tonnage of 3,003. Once the refurbishment is finished, expected around mid-November, it will begin its journey to Oman where it will support Rawanq’s growing operations in the region. The acquisition helps us build a stronger, more capable fleet for the years ahead.
