About Rawanq
Rawanq is a modern fishery specializing in premium small pelagic and tuna, delivering global-quality seafood through certified sustainable practices. Our fleet combines innovation and responsibility to protect the oceans for future generations.
Rawanq began its journey in Muscat, built on a commitment to responsible fishing practices.
We expanded our fleet with a second pelagic vessel and extended operations across Oman and Mauritania.
A third pelagic vessel joined the fleet, and we launched new operations across both regions.
We welcomed three tuna seiners from CFTO, expanding our reach into the Indian Ocean and establish ourselves as a respected name in sustainable tuna fisheries.
We added an Icelandic icon to the fleet: the Viking (ex-Hakon), a pelagic vessel, along with Al Malah, a new supply vessel supporting our growing tuna operations.
We are dedicated to fishing methods that protect marine life, eliminate unnecessary bycatch, and preserve the long-term health of our ocean ecosystems.
From the moment the catch is secured until it is frozen, every step is carefully planned to minimize our environmental footprint. This allows us to deliver the highest standards of quality while honoring our responsibility to the planet.

We contribute to the UN's global vision by investing in innovative, efficient technologies (Goal 9), ensuring full traceability for responsible production (Goal 12), and using certified fishing methods to protect marine ecosystems and prevent overfishing (Goal 14).

Rawanq is proudly certified by Friend of the Sea, a leading global standard for sustainable fishing and aquaculture. This certification verifies that our fishing practices prevent overfishing, avoid harvesting endangered species, and minimize impacts on the seabed and the broader marine ecosystem. It is your assurance that our tuna is sourced responsibly and ethically.

We hold the Dolphin Safe certification, ensuring our tuna is caught using methods that do not harm dolphins. Our crews carefully follow practices that safeguard dolphins and respect the broader marine ecosystem.
