Layla completes dry-dock in Mauritius

One of Rawanq's tuna vessel, Layla, has successfully completed her scheduled dry dock at the CNOI yard in Mauritius and is now ready to return to fishing operations.
The dry dock program was carried out to a high professional standard, with the yard facilities proving reliable and well equipped to support the full scope of work. Major works included comprehensive engine overhauls and restart, general dry dock maintenance, and technical preparations to ensure a smooth return to fishing activities. The vessel has also completed sea trials, confirming her operational readiness.
According to Rawanq’s Fleet Manager, Arnar Berg Grétarsson, the project progressed very well and the vessel now feels as good as new following the upgrades and maintenance carried out during the yard stay.
During the dry dock, Layla was also painted to reflect Rawanq’s updated visual identity. The vessel now sails in Rawanq’s blue colour, introduced last year alongside the company’s new logo and website, further strengthening the unified look of the fleet.
With this important maintenance milestone completed, Layla is fully prepared to resume her tuna fishing campaign.
